I don't really care about the pronouns, provided it isn't heavy-handed in the game proper
For example, Starfield allowed pronoun selection but did absolutely nothing in the game with it
DA:V it only leaned into the nonsense, but did it in such cringe way that even "represented" groups wrote articles saying "please stop"

Those were just the posts of people who have had enough of the bullshite, really.
The solution to this whole thing is to allow custom pronouns. That way people could make pronouns like "slut" "frick tr***ies" "n-word", as well as "xim", "fairykin", et al.

Honestly, this is the only way their ideology can be consistent. If gender is fluid and can be anything you want, then it should be fluid and anything you want.

I was gonna buy it since it was obsidian and someone hyped it up in here. Then I found out recently that it has pronouns in it. Any game with pronouns option in it is an automatic fail of a game. Every last single one. Having the normal gender option doesn't always equal success, but having that weird pronouns thing is always a guaranteed fail.
Before anyone can say I am wrong that is base on opinions, by all means, link the a Triple A game of Avowed Caliber that made gangbusters money and is consider an instant classic.

While I mostly agree with you, and probably will ignore Avowed cause of the pronouns, Baldurs Gate 3 let you make dude with tit's and chick's with dicks.

True, it was also entirely customizable so if one didn't want to be beat over the head with a tranny dick, you could skip it.

After a short search to refresh my memory, BG3 allows selecting male/female/and non binary pronouns, which apparently (never done it, so purely from search) impacts which are used in game to refer to your character.
CP2077 is a bit more clunky. It lets you make separate selections for your body type and your voice. The game then assigns your gender (and pronouns) based on voice selection alone.

The Witcher got ruined by utterly shite writing that completely missed the point of major storylines and bastardized core motivations of the characters to the point that it ruined them.
I’ve read all the books twice and played all three games, and I can confidently say that everything after season 1 was dogshit, separate and apart from any pronoun concerns, which I don’t even remember.

Trans character doesn't equal pronouns for me, but I will give you that it is a fair point. Though speaking of Cyberpunk, I just found out how and why the United States in the Cyberpunk world became the way it is and so dystopian.

When many folks get even a whiff of the bullshite, they won't even consider playing the game. I'm not quite there, but close. Hell, if there was a story-based reason to include the concept that wasn't a heavy-handed preaching about present-day bullshite, was thoughtful and allowed for both sides to be heard, etc., I might give it a pass.
But it is merit-less, empty virtue signaling at best (which is bad enough) or propaganda.

Kind of… NeoTribes is basically the source book for the Nomads. I hadn’t read it before, so I just skimmed through it. That paragraph leads into a section on the strict family-like structure of the tribes and a description of the communal respect between (most of) the tribes. Put another way, while this snippet would likely decry gay pride parades as “me first” divisiveness, it would have no issue with, and would likely support, the simple inclusion of gay/trans people in media. To not do so would be your culture engaging in the exact same kind of divisiveness this snippet is talking about, that your group culture is preferred/better/more equal to another. It’s the victim Olympics of everyone screaming about who is the most special in their oppression that’s the problem.

Though as a point of clarification, this is attempting to describe why the cultural fabric of America collapsed. The Cyberpunk universe is pretty heavy handed that the rise of mega corporations is the reason for the dystopia

So, absolutely on Triss. As for Dandelion, meh. They severely fricked up his character, but his being bi really wasn’t the issue.
I mean truly core character qualities. Geralt wishing for Yen to love him instead of wishing to bind their fates to save her is fricking horrific. Yen and Geralt would never, fricking ever, use Ciri as bait for a trap. They would watch the world burn first.
And speaking of Ciri, deciding to frick the entire timeline just so they could smash all of the characters together immediately made the entire narrative incoherent.
Also, literally everything the did with the mages was retarded
