It’s very zen. Great change of pace from other stuff I’m playing and it’s just adorable

Is it better than the one that came on ps5, or just expanded?

The new Astro bot is a full 15+ hour game. It is not the same as the demo that comes with the base Ps5. Very creative mechanically and feels like what a platformer should

But it's a bit different? The on that came with it was ok, just mindlessly easy.

It's the GOTY. Sublime experience.

The finale is one of the most unforgettable gaming moments I've had in the last few years. Just wonderful

Yeah this one is similarly easy for the vast majority of the levels. As someone who pretty much only likes to play difficult games (I find that difficulty and challenge lead to more engagement), it took me about 10 min to leave that mindset at the door and just enjoy the ride

Like athens said, it's extremely zen. I found it incredibly fun to 1. see what a level's central mechanic was going to be, then 2. speculate how it was going to be used throughout the level, then 3. laugh as I totally underestimated the creativity of the devs. This happened countless times and I was just blown away at how well-made it is. Don't want to spoil anything so I'm just gonna leave it at that

If you want some hard stuff though, there are some very difficult challenge levels that will have you screaming at the TV

Well damn, you just sold it for me. My 9 yr old daughter loves the one that came with the PS5 and it was her first real controller game.

My son will turn 5 at the end of Feb . He beat the game with a little help but also will spend hours just running around trying to get everyone . It’s a great game , he loved the “demo” that came with the ps5 and was super excited to play this version …

Beat it over the weekend, it's good, especially if you're a sony fanboy. Dunno about GOTY or the 60 dollar price tag though.

Really should have been a pack-in game. Nintendo needs to get their shite in order, it was light years better than Mario Brothers Wonder.

Finally got around up playing through this. Obviously very good. It's a great throwback to just when video games were just games and meant to be fun. Feels like there's been a growing trend towards that recently. Video games as a medium need to go back to their roots and not take themselves so damn seriously.

I've always loved 3d platformers and want to see them more often outside of Mario.

Obviously they borrowed a ton of mechanics pioneered in the various 3D Mario games but they don't shy away from that. They're trying to be maximum fun. They have plenty of their own ideas too.

The level design is more linear than most 3D platformers. Reminds me of Super Mario 3D World in terms of how the levels are laid out.

Def a great game and good for all ages. If you're well versed in PS history you'll love all the Easter eggs and call backs.

It's a tad in the easy side, which is understandable considering they want it to be an all ages game. They put in a few challenge levels with no checkpoints in each world for a smattering of challenge.

They need to make more games like this.

Every game doesn’t have to be some open world setting and gritty.

Hope developers see the success of this game and make more like this.

Was the game successful? I’ve heard an offhand comment about this not performing as well as Sony would have liked but that seemed to be more of a guess
