Assetto Corsa Competizione on Xbox Series S

Do y'all think a brand new Xbox Series S could handle this game paired with a Logitech G920 wheel and pedals set? It would be the only game on the Xbox at the time of purchase.

Series S would never be recommended by me, but it should be fine if you have your heart set on it

I don't have my heart set on it, which is why I'm asking for opinions.

X is the only Xbox i would recommend, if you can wait a few months, a slightly newer version will be out, and if you want one now, 450-500 is the going rate

It should run okay on the S. Your problem is going to be multiplayer, if you're into that. Player counts are low on console, and even lower for servers with higher safety rating requirements.

Wutup my fellow F1 thread bro
I like ACC because of its low barriers to entry and simplicity. I am not a GT fan. I just wanna go fast.
Gran Turismo 7 has the "daily races" which are pretty cool. ACC has three types of daily races (quick, "proving ground," and "mini enduro") through Grid Pass. Plus, you can see where those races are going to be held in the future, unlike in Gran Turismo 7.
Do you think a game like Gran Turismo would be better? I just want to do some online racing and work towards being a better online driver. I like that you can plan out your "daily races" using Simgrid on ACC, whereas you're in the dark about where the daily races are going to be on Gran Turismo until they're selected.
Do you know how many daily races there are on Gran Turismo? In other words, how often are they held?

I've never played GT7. ACC is legit, though. It's my most played sim these days. AC Evo comes out later this year, though, and I put a ton of time in AC long before I played ACC.
I played Forza some. I don't know how that compares to GT7, but Forza does not compare to ACC. ACC is leaps and bounds better than Forza from a driving perspective.
TBH, I don't race online but about 20% of the time, and most of the time when I do race, I just jump in an open lobby that has a minimum 70 SA requirement. I put in tons of time perfecting tracks and cars, then hop over to multiplayer to get a little race craft practice. On the tracks I'm good at, I'm still comparatively bad when you look at my times vs the good drivers. I never podium in the lobbies with the gods.
On your G920 pedals, get the brake mod. It's nowhere near a load-cell, but it at least allows you to trail brake better than the stock brake pedal. The stock brake sucks arse.

Can anyone here recommend a relatively inexpensive cockpit?

I’d think GT7 would be much more user friendly. I downloaded AC on PlayStation plus, and I thought it was hard as hell just staying on the track. It had a substantially higher learning curve than F1. The graphics haven’t aged particularly well either.
