I would highly recommend buying this to any Xbox owner on this board. It’s running 70% off right now on the Microsoft store at $12. That’s $4 per game.
With the Xbox Series X/S it runs with increased FPS and HDR+. I started AC2 with my XBone and it was too clunky for me. Night and day difference on the Series X.
With the increased FPS and HDR:
AC2 (2009) felt like a 2013 game
AC: Brotherhood (2010) felt like a 2015 game
AC: Revelations (2011) felt like a 2017 game
Even if you still have an XBone, if you plan on getting a Series X/S eventually you can buy it on sale now and play it later. Even without the improved specs $12 is a great price for these games. The story is very well done.
This was my first time playing these games, but I’d imagine it be fun to play it for those who last played it 10 years ago. The characters and story are superior to the recent ACs and with the improved visuals it would probably be a lot of fun to do another play through.
I enjoyed all 3 games more than any other AC game except Oddysey. The combat and gear in Oddysey just can’t be beat.

Thanks for the heads up. I had been buying AC games pre-owned as I find them so this will speed up the process.
Also, which other title is closest to AC Origins in terms of skill tree and/or stealth play?

AC2 in this collection and Horizon Zero Dawn are my only 2 platinums.
ETA Incidentally, the screen cap for my AC2 plat was a white loading screen

I’ve only played the first 4 and the last 3 AC games, but from what I understand, Origins was the first game where Ubisoft got away from the original style of AC. So in that case, Oddysey is the closest probably.

I don't know what a 2013 game feels like in comparison to a 2015 and 2017 game.
These two games in particular are quite literally palette swaps.
Big Jumps from AC1 to 2 to 3. AC4 was more of a refinement of AC3.

Still waiting on an FPS boost for Origins on the Series X. Definitely going to pick up AC: Syndicate - Gold Edition in the xbox sale, but I want a FPS boost for that game too

I pulled the trigger like 9 months ago on a massive AC sale. It was at least 70% off on every game and DLC other than Valhalla.
