I was wondering. Sounds like I need one of those. So far, AC2 > AC?

If you do make sure you get two just for percaution. In my opinion its alot better. Im 10x better in MW2 than i was in MW. and with all the kill streaks and perks. Camping is not that big of a deal like people say. If someones camping breakout the heartbeat sensor and thermal scope. The other night a guy screamed "how the fu** did you know i was there"

I tried AC1, will hold off on AC2 until the price drops. I was really pissed about spending the cash at release for the repetitiveness that plagued ac1.

yea it sucked IMO i started playing it so i could beat it before AC2 came out but that didn't last long. The new one is pretty repitive i guess you could say but than again your an ASSASSIN...you kill theres not much variation in that lol. but AC2 hasnt gotten boreing to me yet..FWIW

If that were the case, nobody would play most video games on shelves right now. In what way is this one repetitive? In the same vein as the first one, having to complete mundane tasks over and over again in the same environments?

I hope it is a good one...I REALLLLLY enjoyed the first one but it DID get pretty repetitive.

Every single city:

1) "stealth" into city by blending in with monks
2) go get a few bird's eye viewpoints
3) Save someone from thugs
4) Go to the guy wanting the kill
5) kill the target

That game tricked you into thinking it would be an incredibly open-ended, exploratory, gorgeous experience. And it definitely is the most latter, but you really don't reap any rewards from exploring the sparse environments other than some pointless flags (I'm not a collecting person, you guys may be). I think one aspect of AC that didn't get the credit it deserved was the music. It was extremely well done and fit every single occasion. The fact that it's not often mentioned stems from exactly how closely it ties with what's going on. It's subtle and ambient, and you wouldn't download it just to listen to it by itself. The next time you play the game, if ever, just pay attention to the piece that plays when you first reach Jerusalem. It's magnificent.
