Are there any party games that can be played remotely?

So this social distancing has put a cramp in the monthly game night with local friends.

Recently I had discovered that my favorite "you don't know jack" is actually now a great party game used with cell phones. The problem is that you still have to be in the room to see the screen.

I have thought about setting up a laptop with skype on showing the screen and them all having skype on their PC's. I am sure this will totally take the fun out of the experience, but it is a really fun game.

Are there any games like that so we can have that sense of normalcy?

How do you deal with that everyone needs to see the screen?

Stream it on twitch and send everyone playing a link to view it.

We've done it plenty of times - highly recommend.

Could you elaborate? Does just one person have to own Jackbox on pc?

Yes, if you haven't played jackbox, you start up a game and it tells you to go to the jackbox website with a code for your specific game. That allows everyone to answer via phone. The key point was how would everyone see the screen, but this answers that question.

I am going to set it up by using twitch on my xbox and the two couples we normally play board games download the twitch app on roku or whatever. Could then set up laptops to be able to see each other. Thats how it will work in my head at least.

So I open jack box, stream it on twitch some how, then send people the jackbox link for their phone and a twitch link for laptop?

Any way we can expand on this thread? I have some friends/families I know of that have used Zoom while playing remotely. Are there good web sites for interactive games for everyone. I've used Pogo but I'm not sure it's my best option? I'd like to hear others' experiences on this.

I tried streaming jackbox on twitch studio beta last night and the other players were experiencing a 5-10 second lag delay. Ever have this issue?

I've heard from others that the Jackbox servers have been getting slammed pretty hard from bored people sheltering in place. Might be the issue you're having.

Twitch has a built in delay of around 7 seconds. We Jackbox through Skype, and I used xsplit to layer the tv screen with one webcam with me and my wife in a smaller picture-in-picture, like a streamer. The delay was less, but still too much of a lag to play you don't know Jack since there's a round that relies on reaction time

Is mixer an option? Don’t know much about it but I have it on Xbox.

I think any type of streaming platform is going to have a little bit of a delay. If you're playing any of the other games you'll be fine, just don't do anything with reaction time required to buzz in. We played Fibbage, Word Spud and Drawful and it was a blast

I own 3 and 4. Can’t remember if there are buzzer type questions.
