My copy of NCAA 14 just crapped out on me. It's been so long, I honestly don't even remember the difference in gameplay between the three. $100 price tag is steep it seems if the games aren't that different. Am I being cheap?

You’re local GameStop doesn’t have any copies?

Nope. One store within 50 miles had a copy and it was reserved. It's either Ebay for $100 or get an older one. I just don't remember the differences.

Found the fricking poor. Congratulations.

Yes, carefully weighing your options before spending money is the clear definition of stupidity. This is why you're broke all of the time. Do the world a favor and castrate yourself on your way out of this thread to prevent procreation and the spreading of your gene pool.

I'll just ignore all the other posts and answer your question.

I play 13 because my 14 got lost in the shuffle at some point. It's fine I enjoy picking it up and playing when I get the itch.

Was there any change from 14 to 13 that was really noticeable? I can't remember what year they overhauled the recruiting system.

That year they streamlined recruiting

Idk about 13 but 12 always seemed heavily tilted to the offense. 14 was the most realistic defensive game of the series. Never played 13.

Wow, I didn't realize the price has gone up over the years.

Makes sense.

Defense was broken in 14

Also sucked in 13. Idk if the NCAA series ever felt like you could scheme well on defense. It’s like 90% player ratings and 10% user ability.

Only thing I hate about 14 is that my players constantly get tackled at the one yard line.

Pursuit angles are also OP and it’s hard AF to get big plays for scores.

Yeah, if you play alone against a team that passes you will almost always get shredded for 300+.

I play with a friend and we both play as a safety and that has made it much more manageable. Still a bitch playing against a scrambling QB though.

Also, the triple option teams become OP as frick. I’m like 20 years in and had to go in and edit every triple option team because every one of them was top 10 every year and I always had to play one in the ship. Got annoying as frick.

It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the others. On avg when playing friends it would be a lower scoring game (20s/30s) in 14 vs. like 40s/50s in 12 using the same exact settings.

I think there is a glitch in 12 where a certain passing play always gets a completion

Overall I think it stands out most in the run game, where you can hold a team to a modest 1-3 yd gain rather than get gashed every attempt. I play as DE/DT in both games too

Supply and demand. It's the last NCAA game that's also 4 years old. Not like Madden where everyone replaces their copies every year.
