seems okay. just use number keys instead of controller buttons.
First big boss. took 3 attempts.
First major boss down. perfect dodges are a necesity. I suck but getting better.

go to launch and it says " controller required for the best experience" wtf. Will check it out and refund if its bad with M/KB
Games with Souls-like combat will always tell you that, and that goes doubly so for games developed in Asia which are vastly more console focussed. As a general rule, as long as you have a couple of programmable buttons on your mouse, you’ll be fine.

Just went to go fire it up again and steam says ive been playing non stop since launch.
medal says I played 2 hours and 4 minutes last night.
Strange indeed.
i made a post on the reddit with the same screen shot and it got removed immediately. but every couple minutes theres someone posting about 2 MILLION CURRENT PLAYERS.
i dont care, still gonna play it, but is there some manipulation going on?

Whether it’s intentional is a separate issue, but there’s obviously some kind of background process it’s maintaining after being shut down if you’re seeing that discrepancy.

has my first crash. back tracked after i completed chapter one, found the 3rd bell and got sent to the abandoned temple. froze up going in and out of inventory there.
maxed 4k with ray tracing on, been steady 60-85 frames in fights consistently.
ETA: just checked before relaunch and a new driver came out this morning for geforce.

What happened to this thread? Did no one play it? Lol

Not I. This is the kind of thing I pick up at 50% off on Steam

quote:I'm working on the 2nd chapter and it's really good. Basically a chinese mythology God of War. Fun combat, sort of a linear world design, tons of bosses, and it runs pretty good although I did have a crazy fps drop in ch2 at one point but it cleared up after a restart.

Sounds like a memory leak of some kind, either system RAM or VRAM. Not uncommon for games on release.

I broke down and bought and installed it last night. Hopefully will have time to try it tonight.

Gonna dive back into chapter 2 this evening. haven't played much of anything past couple of days. i have messed around with Dungeon stalkers open beta.
it's an actual decent looking version of darkest dungeon/dungeonborne,

Tiger king is kicking my arse. once he gets me off balance i cant dodge no matter how much i try. on like attempt #20. I beat the giant rat son on my first try so that was cool.
finally got him. had to perfect dodge 3 of his major combos. gives a new spell ability called rock solid. Im starting to run out of mana too quickly every fight. hopefully theres a brew or something later on that lets you recover mana with health

Rock boss... i look up a guide... guys like " oh yea this is pretty simple, one of the easier fights" finishes with an empty gourd and almost no HP.
I figured out you can just rest near a high XP monster and grind XP on the rest respawns so Im going to get up to 35 at least i think before i move onto rock boss. It's like a 5 minute run and through 11 enemies to get there an Im tired of re running it.

I'm still on the first chapter. It s been pretty fun and the bosses have been good, as well. Hard, but not Elden Ring hard. I got to the giant bear boss last night before I stopped. Gonna jump back on as soon as I get home.

But, so be it. Black Myth: Wukong can just be another forgettable also-ran in a crowded genre. There is nothing else gamers need to hear.
Doesn’t look like Kotaku was satisfied with their experience.
PCGamer was more favorable and gave it a 87. Although it appears they docked them 13 points for their behavior.

Aside from the performance issues, the biggest disappointment comes from outside the game itself: Last year, an IGN report described in detail a history of sexist remarks from GameScience's leaders. The studio has declined to acknowledge the allegations in recent interviews, and while I didn't find anything within the game that reflects an extremely regressive view of women (although there just aren't many in the game), the behavior tarnishes what would otherwise be an effortless recommendation.

A week ago I had never even heard of this game, but I‘ve heard and seen the Alphabet people and Soyboys being upset about the game not catering to their demands so that tells me it’s probably an authentic, awesome game that is fun to play. Will have to give it a shot at some point.

It's full of furries. did they want gay nonbinary furries or something?
had a nice long mid morning nap. time to go get my arse kicked by rock boss some more.
I guess the trick is to make it a long fight and only go in at certain times. IDK if i am that patient.
I got it done in 3 minutes finally.
around 2:30 im sitting there ready to heal... spamming my shadowstep and it wont activate.... got hit an extra 2 times. before moving away and it finally activated. Things like that happen a little too often. I think it's maybe a bottleneck issue.
respecced all my points for max mana and defense for that.
Dont forget to backtrack for the Tally pillars. seriously important.
