Same. Apologies I have the market cornered and I cannot share my tactics..
Just kidding. I just farm a shite ton of crystals/shards etc. I can grab a stack of 1000 in around 20mins and sale for $150k plus each stack. Bring in about half a mil an hour or so.
If some shards on the board are cheap I’ll buy a large portion of them and then sell at a higher price. I manipulate the market as much as I can.

You're safe with me, I'm honestly spending so much time trying to get caught up and do society quests I just don't have the time for farming sadly. Maybe next expansion.

It’s still not the best way to make bank. Thats ultimately in crafting. I just dont craft for some reason. I can throw on a stream or whatever on the other monitor and gather mindlessly. On Saturday I think I did that from about 11am - 1am.
If you want to make gil down the road. Just level all your gathering first(maybe not fishing). Then your crafting and craft all the high level goodies. Things that sell for millions.

I just started for the first time ever and I have no idea what I’m doing. Not sure how to switch between quests but I’m just fetch questing and running between the green checks and the claw print looking icons.

Just keep doing what you are doing as long as you are having fun. You will find your way.

The first few hours are really short range fetch quests. I also had no clue what I was doing for awhile.

Yes, you still have to pay the monthly subscription for access to the servers.

It ends very well though and I really loved the last handful of MSQ leading into Heavensward.
I've been barely playing FF14 after my initial disappointment, but I've cleared the first two dungeons and first trial. Gameplay content continues to be very fun, but my opinion on Lamat is unchanged.
