Any backers of the Bloodstained or Shenmue 3 projects?

I’m personally not a backer of Shenmue but since the demo of Bloodstained for the backers is being released in 2 months I was just curious. It’s so weird because it seems like everyone on the internet knows about both games, but when you go to a GameStop, EB games or whatever, the people inside just have this deer in headlights look when you mention it to them.
I hope both of them are successful. Been playing some old Castlevania and Metroid titles to get me up to speed on those old school platforming titles again like Super Metroid, Order of Ecclesia, Symphony of the Night obviously, Fusion etc. Though, not as much as the titles mentioned above, I played both Shenmue games back in the day and it was a lot of fun. The combat system was pretty hilarious in crowded areas.

I'm a backer of Shenmue 3 (physical version). I can't wait for it.
I've also been playing and buying tons of SNES (PAL exclusives included) and Super Famicom games lately. On/for this bad boy (Analogue Super Nt):
An amazing piece of hardware. It has loads of features. Nothing like playing SNES games in beautiful 1080p and the sound is fantastic. This thing is pretty dang accurate to real hardware since it's FPGA. Now there's a jailbreak where you can put all the games on an SD card and play them via the SD card slot on the system. Or you can dump your own games from the system to an SD card.
I'm currently playing an English translation repro cart of Clock Tower I bought. This game is really cool. I'm trying to get all 8 different endings, but have only managed to get 2 so far. I had never played it before since it only released in Japan.

They are the worst people on earth.

Why when we have the Raspi which does so much more for picture quality?
Just as a collectors item?

Yeah, that's one of the reasons. Also:
Lag (it has zero lag unlike software emulators. Only lag is from the tv)
Accuracy to real hardware (since it's an FPGA chip which is basically like hardware simulation)
I can play my own carts (and it's actually playing the games off the cart instead of dumping the rom like a Retron 5, etc)
It was created by quite possibly the greatest mind in retro gaming right now (Kevin Horton)
It's got options to play at original SNES speed (60.09hz) and other really cool features. It's pretty much just a hardcore enthusiast type thing, especially given the price tag ($189.99).
I compared it to my SNES Classic (which of course is software emulation) and it blows that thing out of the water.

Idk why this is a funny statement.
But I laughed.

Any project that guy puts out, I'm always going to be all ears
. He's been amazing for the retro community. Rumor has it that the Sega Genesis will be Analogue's next project which Kevin will tackle all the work for them.
There are only about 3 FPGA consoles that I'm aware of. The Super Nt (SNES), Nt Mini (NES with like 18 different cores like the Sega Master System, Game Gear, etc) and the RetroUSB AVS (NES). He's responsible for both of those NT's.
I own two of those (Super Nt and the AVS) and they have worked with every game I've thrown at them with great accuracy. The AVS was actually the first FPGA on the market. Brian Parker (AVS creator) is a legend in the NES community. I think he was first one to create the first flash cart and he was definitely the first one to put out an FPGA console for sale.
The AVS actually uses real NES power/reset buttons. Somehow he got his hands on real brand new left over stock NES buttons. Not many people seem to know about the AVS though. Here's a pic of it if you've never heard of it:

The sad thing is, they have a certain quota they have to meet based on what they say when you talk to them and if they don’t meet it, they get fired.
It’s a terrible system and makes for shitty gamers to look even shittier.
