Ubisoft.com - Anno 117: Pax Romana
Coming next year... sometime. Anyone else a fan of these? Some really great entries in the franchise and no reason to think this won't be another one.

Do these Anno games have an extremely basic setting? I think my dad might love this game but I’ve seen streamers play it and holy shite it’s way too complicated for him(he’s nearly 80).

In the middle of a couple hundred hour replay of 1800. My only gripe is the combat could be more fleshed out. Other than that its my fav. Strategy/ City builder of all time. Cant wait.

They have a sandbox mode 99.99% of the time. Also, this is very much a style of game that caters to your level. It can be as easy or unforgiving as you choose to make it.
That said I’ll 100% be getting it. Love the series but didn’t like the forward progression date wise they have been making, so I didn’t even try the last one even though it does look great.

1800 was a wonderful game. Beautiful graphics, very smooth gameplay, engaging story if you're into that.
