Where can I store extra stuff when my pockets are full? I am supposed to just sell everything or drop it?

If you've upgraded from a tent to a house you can store it there. If you haven't then you can bury it around your tent and whatever you bury will be marked by an X.
If you're still early in the game then sell everything you find

There's a Pocket Guide in the Nook Terminal at the Resident Tent. That gives you another row in your pockets.
Buy that ASAP.

Are my Amiibos useful in this game?
I packed them all into crates and placed in the attic. Is it worth going grab my AC ones?

If you want those specific characters on your island, yes

This is my fist AC game. Just purchased and honestly feeling a little intimidated.

It was my first ac game as well. You get used to it after a very short bit, it's sooooooooo nice having such a chill game to play during quarentine.

I'll be opening my island up for travelers here tonight in like 30 mins.
BA - I know I missed last night, my bad.

It's fine, my apple trees still have not bloomed so all I have right now are oranges and peaches.

Anyone still playing at this fine hour? I can throw my gate open for a few. Got oranges, apples, peaches, and cherries. Still need the others.

Was able to create a tarantula island last night.
It's time consuming. You have to use miles to get to an island that doesn't have three levels. Then you clear all trees and stumps, explode all rocks, pick all flowers and I went as far as doing the weeds as well. Basically you clear all items off the island and place them onto the beach, minus the flower roots.
Once complete, you continue catching fish and bugs and a tarantula will spawn around the island once every 3-5 minutes. It took over an hour but I left the island with a pocket full of tarantulas (valued at 8k bells each). I ended up leaving all of my tools on the island. I also caught a tuna while trying to waste time.
Here's more on the process. You can do it between dusk until 2am:

Flick, the dude that pays extra for bugs, showed up on my island when I logged in and is here until 5am tomorrow. I sold my tarantulas for over 150k bells.
Planning on doing it again a couple of times tonight before he leaves in the morning.
