Haven’t played this game in well over 20 years so it’s very nostalgic. Takes some getting used to on console but the tutorial does a pretty good job. The tutorial is long though, it takes four missions and it’s well over an hour. They throw a lot at you.

Still holds up and hearing all the same sound effects from when I was a kid is really cool. It’s on game pass for those with Xbox.

I played some this weekend, all things considered controller wise, I like it!

I can't imagine it would be possible to play on console on the higher difficulty settings, but with a little tweaking to slow the gameplay down, I could see it working, even if it wouldn't be my cup of tea.

But as a longstanding member of the PCMR, AoE2 is truly a classic, and the remaster is a modern classic. I'm happy you guys are getting the chance to play the latter

It’s excellent. Never trust someone named Josh.

For sure. I used to get home from school and fire up the big Compaq tower, grab a cream soda and a couple slim Jim’s and play for hours.

I bought a wireless mouse to play AoE2 with Gamepass on my TV sitting on my couch.
