A less anachronistic Divinity 2 would be amazing

Playing Divinity 2 (Original Sin), and I'm amazed at how good it is; however, the development studio's stubborn adherence to anachronistic game design is wearing on me after about 20 hours or so.
1) The quest journal, bartering system, and inventory is straight of of 2003 Morrowind. The developers should play games outside of their own bubble to see how simply UI design has evolved over the years.
2) The skillbook system is awful. Vital abilities should not be left to random chance or mob loot, nor should you be forced to pay hard-to-come-by gold to buy your needed abilities, especially in a game that allows you to respec.
4) Characters should auto-revive after death. I get it, Baldur's Gate had permadeath in 1998, so this game has to have it too, but again, I say that having to hoof it back to town to buy res scrolls then hoof back to where your characters died to resurrect is a pain in the arse, nevermind the fact that the scrolls cost valuable gold.

Yes...
But I bet they can count to 3, so there's that ;)

Not as miserable as you

I agree that the quest log/journal was antiquated, but I did like the barter and I never had much trouble with inventory management.
I also didn't think gold was too hard to come by. I relied on drops for my gear most of the time, so I pretty much only spent gold on res scrolls or the random shop that happened to have an armor upgrade (was quite rare).

One of my favorites of all time.
Can’t you auto travel and the body goes with you?
