Your process for washing raw peanuts to boil?

I always buy them washed, but all they had was unwashed. PITA, but I started just hosing them off as well as I could in the bag. Now I have the bag in an ice chest filled with water that I shake intermittently and have dumped and refilled twice. Is there an easier way to do this?

I always take them out of the bag and hose them off in the boiling basket in the pot. Fill pot to about halfway, then use my hands to mover them around. Dump and repeat until water isn't dirty anymore. Kinda like crawfish.

I don't think I've ever gotten green peanuts that weren't already washed. I still just fill the sink up with them and rinse them off pretty good.

First time I have. It was either this or drive 60 miles round trip to get washed. They’re pretty scarce in my neck of the woods right now.

No easier way really. You're doing it right. Just put them in a cooler and fill with water. Work them around in there with your hands - drain water - rinse and repeat till you get clear water in the cooler.
