You couldn't be more wrong. They use bucatini aka long macaroni.

Article says they use perciatelli not bucatini although it looks to be just a thicker bucatini

I haven't been to R&C's in a very long time so my memory was skewed. I remembered a thicker noodle with a larger whole but that video confimed I misremembered the specific details of the macaroni.

I was wondering if someone would suggest this. I haven't tried it in pastalaya, but bucatini is absolutely the best long pasta overall.
