I did it in Chicago so that's why I brought it up.

It's not a thing here in Ohio obviously as it's against the law.

Wasn’t directed right at you but at the notion in general in the thread.

We just spent five days in Napa Valley and it’s expected at the restaurants there.

Do what you like but as I said check in advance because some owners just don't like it. It really is used a lot when a restaurant can't get a liquor license and it allows the restaurant a way to pay for the service, decanting and stemware.
