I suppose...if i want to eat something with the consistency of a rubber band or mush...i guess that would depend on how much ice is used....

I don't use any ice. As soon as the water gets back to bubbling boil, I shut it off

If you are dropping them into rolling boil water, they begin to cook then. No need to boil the frick out of them

You idiots realize that most places that sell crawfish boil them in only water!

I didn't claim to be an expert in boiling history. It's just how everyone in Shreveport does it and it's subpar IMO.

Born & raised in BR....the soaked method is all I ever knew growing up. Head off to Tech for college and go the the "Mudbug" Festival in Shreveport and get introduced to the dusted method.....it SUCKS. As mentioned...it's the method used when feeding large volumes of folks and you don't have time to soak. Have been in N. La. since '89 and FINALLY found a restaurant/store up here that cooks crawfish like I'm accustomed to. Bergeron's in Shreveport & Bossier have some damn good crawfish.

Stupid.

That's they way they do boiled crabs in Maryland. Sprinkle Old Bay on them after coming out of a very flavorless boil.

Yes, and it's apparently the preferred method in Acadiana
