I can't seem to find any place that does it right, and doesn't just throw a bunch of spices on top of the crawfish after they're cooked.

Any recommendations?

I did not eat them, but my friend had 3 lbs at Hook line and sinker last Saturday. He said they were good

This is a lot of restaurants anywhere. It's faster and more efficient. It's why most of the time, it's better at home.

Dodies is decent

Heads or tails is really good. They just do events though. Follow their Facebook to find when you can get some from them.

I've heard good stuff about Cajun tailgaters. They've been a food truck/trailer for a while and now have a cafe at the farmers market downtown. They look really good from the pictures I've seen.

The best is to just boil them yourself.

You mean Charlie's Creole Cafe? That's what Dodies is now called. There is still a Dodies but they took the Dodie's name from Charlie.

I don't know how Half Shells does theirs, but they are good.

I had it a few years ago when I lived in Dallas and it was awesome. Nice people who run it as well.

No I mean dodies but the OG one is decent too. Their food is identical but dodies has a better atmosphere.

Half shells and their fish city grill places dust the hell out of them.

Heads or Tails does them right. They are not always available but are the best boiled in the area. Their prices are on the Crawfish App.

Stop telling people to go here. It's pure trash.

Their crawfish has powder dusted all over it and it's some weird mix with parsley in it too.

I’m not going to argue with you about something as benign as this. Have a good night, bro.

I had boiled crawfish at Nate’s in Addison last Saturday. They were not bad at all. But, I do not order them with that Turbo stuff. Just get the regular boiled crawfish...no dust, no parsley. If your crawfish had that stuff on them, you ordered them that way (Turbo seasoning).

I've had Nate's both ways. They were bad. For $9 a pound they can get lost.

The normal food on their menu is bad too. Another bland excuse for Cajun for people who don't know what actual Cajun tastes like.

Your friend cooks damn good crawfish. I just wish they boiled more and did it a little bit closer to Dallas.
