The inside is decorated with movie posters of all sorts and colors. the atmosphere was pretty good. as i walked up to the register to get a better look at the menu, i was greeted by a friendly employee who was quick to recommend the willy sandwich, so thats what i ordered. it cost just over $7 for the combo, which came with tater tots and a drink. they have the typical fountain drinks or you can get fruit punch or grape kool-aid LOL. honestly, i dont know how i feel about the tater tots. its as if they didnt belong or as if the owner was like there needs to be a side and eventually decided on tots. i came here for chicken and waffles and you're giving me tater tots? its CHICKEN AND WAFFLES, nothing else. a real enthusiast knows this. one thing i will note is that the service was pretty good. they brought my drink to me, refilled it for me, brought my food to me, etc. that was a huge plus and helps my chances of returning. upon receiving my meal, right off the bat i could tell i would have to bring my A-game appetite if i was gonna put this beast down in one sitting. the willy sandwich was a whole boneless chicken breast placed in between two belgian waffles, kind of what you would get at a continental breakfast. to me, it's definitely the fast food version of chicken and waffles as compared to the real deal, not like real roscoe's chicken and waffles in Los Angeles. i'd say the food was decent. you won't blow anyone away by taking them there but it is a nice change from the run of the mill BR bullsh*t we're dealing with. like i said earlier, the meal came with tater tots. it also came with a cup of syrup and a cup of cane's sauce. you can definitely see the similarities between cane's and this place since they have the same owner. with that said, the amount of syrup they give you is not enough. if this place lasts, i would like to see them put out big canisters of syrup, like they do at ihop or waffle house. honestly it was kind of humorous as to how much syrup they DIDN'T give you. i like to drench my chicken and waffles in it but they werent havin that. this has always been my complaint with cane's too. like come on dude, you're really gonna charge me 50 cents for more sauce? it's nickel and diming like that, that makes me not want to never go back to these places. the tater tots, i mean ehhhh they were alright. nothing special. overall it wasn't bad, but it wasn't life-changing either. i like the fact that all drinks were 99 cents, that was cool. i think this place has potential but i would definitely recommend some changes if they plan on staying there for awhile. TL;DR cane's version of fast food chicken and waffles and the owner is still a jew who gives you fun sized sauce and syrup and charges extra for stupid BS. worth it for $7? yes. however, it's not somewhere i am going to be dying to go eat at.
