Wildwood Pizza, an Alexandria pizza restaurant that specializes in pies baked in a wood-burning oven, is opening a location in the Long Farm Village traditional neighborhood development this spring.
A permit was issued this week to build out a 2,300-square-foot space in Long Farm that developer Russell Mosley said will be the home for Wildwood Pizza. The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating.
Wildwood Pizza offers a variety of pizzas and salads made with locally sourced ingredients.

I remember this name. Was supposed to be a huge development. How far along are they?

It's a nice development. I think they are selling the 3rd filing of residential lots now.

Got ya. Anyone tried this pizza?

I've had it a bunch. It's not the best ever, but beats the chains easily. Their site.

Very solid pizza! Know the owners. Quick but high quality ingredients.

I like Wildwood because the ingredients seem above average and I can make healthy choices. But I'm not sure how well it would fare in a city with far more choices than Alexandria. Hope they do well though.

I haven't tried it but will. We only live a few miles from there.

They have several quality specialty pies but to be honest, the best one is their plain Jane pepperoni pizza which is frickin awesome.

I’ve gone a couple times for lunch. It’s pretty good pizza

So, Wildwood is coming to Prarieville, really. I'm gonna have to remember that it's out there when I have to go that direction for work. I do love wood fired pizza.

Finally tried Wildwood in BR last night. Similar setup to Lit and Jabby's, but I think Wildwood is better. Had "The Beast" with EVOO instead of red sauce.
Really liked it, and the prices aren't bad. Reminded me of a place I've been to in Houston called MOD pizza.
