Tuna steaks frozen at Albertsons and mahi mahi frozen from Winn Dixie both tasted like nails? Mahi mahi from ALbertsons didn't. WTF is that all about?

I don't like that I can smell the seafood department when I walk in the front door at Alberstsons....the seafood is in the back of the store.

Correct. The Baton Rouge Albertson's are awful. I haven't found that smell in any others.

Sounds like some might have been old. IQF fish should taste pretty similar to fresh fish is frozen fresh and not frozen for too long.
