So the wife and I recently had lab work come back with results not surprising considering our poor diet since my son was born. For 2 months we have cut out most processed foods and cooking our own. For the first time, my wife is learning to cook and I'm trying to teach her but I work late during the week.
We tossed around the idea of a blue apron type service to help her learn and add variety but I don't know anyone that's tried it.
Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm not expecting much but she wants to learn.

We did blue apron and the meals were good, however we now have kids and the serving sizes (ie leftovers) and assortment of cuisines became an issue
That’s been several years so I’m sure there are other plans now with better options for a family

I have tried several, all we’re pretty similar and for the most part good. It is fun to do for a while, then move on. Plated was my favorite, a few dollars more but had better stuff

I did Hello Fresh and Sun Basket.
Whether or not they're worth it kinda depends on your skillset and your actual interest in cooking, IMO. If you really love cooking, you can be far more creative and have more variety just by taking in as much as you can via the internet, books, and TV. But since that doesn't exactly happen overnight, I could see where one of these boxes could expedite the technique learning process.
I don't know if this makes a difference to you, but Sun Basket does not have a cancel online option and when you call to cancel, they haggle the hell out of you. Otherwise, the food was good. Hello Fresh and Blue Apron seem better.
Both are expensive, both use a ton of plastic/packaging, and both had produce that was near its end in my experience. But if nobody is around to teach her and you don't think she could/would be interested to teach herself, try it out and see if you like it.
