I am looking for a good bourbon as a retirement gift, my co worker loves his Old Fashioned’s. Any suggestions?

I personally don't think you need to go high end with a old fashioned and suggest a rye like Sazerac.

Agreed with T00f, if he’s using as a cocktail pour, you can get just an about anything. I was at Saint X restaurant earlier and had a Smokey bench mark old fashion. It was fantastic.

I’d do a bundled gift set and get him some bitters from Bitrercube, I believe Keifes in the CBD sells them. You Dan also grab a bottle of whiskey down there as well with some MC cherries. That’s would make his day. Good luck

Curious to get the board’s opinion of uncle nearest 1856. I bought a bottle and really like it.

I'm a big fan of the Beam flavor profile, so my go to is OGD Bonded or 114 when I can find it for an old fashioned.

OF Rye 100 if I want something more dry.

I'd say a bottle of any of those with Angostura or other craft aromatic bitters and a good simple syrup will get you in the right neighborhood of a "gift bottle" price point ($45-$65)
