Where do you get these buff-turkeys? I’d like to try one. Secondary market the only way?

I’m part of a group who has picked 4 of them. I only bought 2/4. The two I have are really good, but I’ve heard some barrels aren’t. Augusta has 2 15 year Buff-Turkeys on their website currently, they are $320 MSRP, which is roughly the going rate for these bottles.

ETA: I should clarify, msrp is roughly $300 give or take, secondary is up over 2k for some of these SiBs.

Unfortunately no, I trust the guy who picked the two barrels that I’ve bought from, and he’s also the guy who stated that these barrels are hit or miss.

New 15 year or older 15 year? They changed the source on the Buckner’s 15 year in the last few months or so. In the past they were both Barton.

Currently one of my favorite pours.
The Bourbon is a decent pour, the rye is better, and the wheated is head and shoulders above both; definitely worth the price. It doesn’t drink like 121 proof, has a great nose and palate. I had to grab a backup bottle.
