This has become a favorite for cocktails, but is enjoyable neat. The complexity is beyond anything you'd expect in a rye, especially for under 35 bucks.

I still need to grab one if it’s around

Pappy was expensive
...like $300, ha, and impossible to find back then. It was about 2002 or so.

15 year pappy back then was not $300

The last one I bought was the 20 in 2011 and it was 120. The 23 was close to 300. I was just finishing grad school so the 20 was a real splurge.

PMP, correct me if I am wrong is based on the 15 year. Makes sense based on the juice age. 10 years ago it was around $120

I was just throwing out a year, I can't remember that far back. I had a tenant at the time with several cases of Pappy 15 and he was selling them for $300, I think that's how he was paying me rent, I should have just taken bottles in lieu of money. I am in Dallas and we don't get near the allocation y'all get on any Kentucky whiskey. He would occasionally invite me over for a pour.

I’ve drank damn near every bourbon around, from bery good to not so good, to my current everyday pour Old Forester. A couple days ago I bought a weekday bottle of Buffalo Trace and I’ve had heartburn the last 2 nights and I very rarely ever get heart burn. Anybody else notice this with Buffalo Trace? Could be a coincidence….
