Was excited to get this Smoke Wagon, but I don't think it's for me. Probably going to do a trade.

For those that have had the Nulu finished in amburana barrels, how does it compare to the Starlight cigar batch?

I much prefer the starlight. If you ever make it over to Vicksburg, I can give you a sample bottle of my NULU Lincoln road pick so you can compare. Briarwood is supposed to be getting a NULU amburana soon.

How many of those have you killed t00f? I assumed you bought them by the case.
Last one for the evening is another man down. I like this a good bit, but the 12 blows it away.

The Quarter got one in this week and trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on it or not. I told myself I was going on a buying hiatus until I emptied the cabinet a little bit. But the Starlight cigar batch is one of my favorite new bourbons I’ve had recently and wasn’t sure if the Nulu was anything like it.

I'd give a nod to Starlight but if you see the Nulu grab it.

I’m enjoying all things amburana. I got a starlight rye amburana from LR that I really enjoy and not too long ago discovered a plantation rum in the back of my cabinet that was finished in amburana barrels, it’s great.

Was gifted a bottle of Banhez, very very good!
Very fruity in the nose, and can’t quite pinpoint the finishing notes, but it is very smooth.

As soon as I tasted the LR starlight cigar batch early last year, I knew those finishes would take off. It's such a unique flavor and to me, it's delicious. Barrell has one coming out that I'm sure will be fantastic.
Speaking of Barrell and unique finishes, I'm a big fan of mizunara. Vantage is what got me interested.

Barrell Bourbon Amburana Cask Finish
Distilled in IN & KY, USA. Amburana casks are challenging to work with, as they impart strong cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and vanilla spice notes. True blending expertise is required to enhance the bourbon with Amburana and maintain balance. The BCS blending team created a bourbon blend of two mash bills with different char levels finished in Amburana casks. A batting of individual casks without finishing was layered in to add depth, richness, and complexity, ensuring the bourbon shines through first and foremost. Only 14,400 bottles produced.
