I am trying to put together a tasting and need about 15 (30-45/bottle) bourbons.

Woah! Those had better be some extremely small tastes. I've hosted 3 tastings at my place. I always put out either 8 or 9 bottles and that is overkill. I try to keep the tastes relatively small but the palate can only take so much. Most people seem to get palate burn out after 5 or 6. I would think about seriously cutting that 15 back. No matter what though, tastings are always a great time.

Well so much for having something extra "special" to drink/post when 1,000 rolls around. Maybe by 1,500 I'll have gotten my hands on some Pappy or BTAC haha. Guess I'll have to settle for a pour of Cured Oak

Somewhere out there is a store with a bottle of that something special that you are looking for just sitting on a shelf at retail waiting for somebody to wipe the dust off of her and take her home.

It happens. You just need to find that store.

First time posting in this thread, but I've been lurking for a while. I'm curious what you fellas know about Bookers Bourbon? Came across a bottle the other day for $49.99 and wasn't sure if it was worth the money or not. I like trying different bourbons, so any info before I grab a bottle would be appreciated.

I like bookers allot. It's a really good barrel proofer that's readily available. My favorite beam product by far

I like it a lot. I look at it also as one of those stepping stones when you first get into bourbon to see what a barrel proof can be like.

Bookers 25th will actually be my 1000th page celebratory drink tonight. (Any excuse to open that is a good one.)

Definitely go for a bottle of Bookers. It's very good and worth the money. It will be strong so you might need to add water but that's fine. If you're starting to get into bourbon than Bookers is a great place to start.
