While I figure out what’s next I’ll kill this lil guy off. Love these.

I miss the days of real old barrels with a cool label and story being replaced by the younger pushed for profit cool bottle and story. This pour shows it’s age so well.

That rhetoric 21 blows everything tonight out the water.

Where’d you find that gem?

One of my local stores has it for north of $200...

It was probably the Angles Envy Rye. Regular AE goes for $50 in Ohio. But are liquor prices are controlled by the state so there is no price gauging. I bought the AE Rye for $120 in WV.

Bought it at Tony K's in Houston. Bought my wife a bunch of wine and they gave me my choice of Angels Envy, W12 and couple of others. Had all of them except for that bottle.

2PD. Another pickup from the BR trip. Excited to try their single barrel. Big fan of the 1920.

1920 is fantastic stuff. The SB is not as good as that imo. That ECBP is always a solid grab tho!

Agreed on the SiB vs 1920.

Really like the ECBP. Should have picked up a second bottle...

If you can’t find more I have some in Laffy. Seems to be easier to find these days tho.

That stuff is hard to come by in Houston. If I remember reading this thread, you have a store in Broussard right? I recall someone having Russell Reserve picks in Broussard...

I have a gift basket company that I have a Liquor license so I can put it in the baskets (side gig). I do stock a few things that I can get my hands on and run of the mill stuff. I did pick a barrel of Russells reserve that is Pretty much gone now. Just trying to see what I have access to next. Houston is not that far when you run out

Closing gift I just did for a local real estate agent. Hand blown martini glasses from Nola. It’s all LA stuff except the the olive snacks.

That’s a pretty good side gig you have there with some nice perks. How often have you done barrel picks?

I grew up in Lafayette but don’t have any roots there anymore. We go to BR a dozen-or-so times a year for LSU games and to visit my in-laws. If you come across any future picks, I’ll have to make a pit stop!

That was the first and only one. I was told I could do a 1792 full proof...but I guess higher ups at sazerac decided otherwise, ah well. So I’m still waiting to see what’s next.

Calandro's on Siegen...Picked one up but haven't tried it. 80 proof. The worst that can happen is I've spent $10 that I could have put toward something better. Unless it's ruined, I'm gonna drink it.

I like it as a summer sipper as it is very light. That being said, I found an old bottle out west and have been sipping on that.
