I put ice in the glass where I mix it, then pour into a glass without. I’d mist the glass without with the stank. So the ice doesn’t dilute as you drink.

So I’d pull a glass from the freezer and mist with stank. Make the mix in another glass (without soda). Then add some ice and stir to chill. Then strain into frozen misted glass without ice. Pinky out. Consume. Repeat.

If you Bourbon Baws want a scotch to try this would,be a great one. Not single malt but would be easy for a Bourbon lover to get Baptized into Scotch.
