In Baton Rouge, Ronnies can not be beat. Cracklins are damn good as well.

Sorry guys, Ronnie's on Florida is closed

They are in the Broadmoor shopping center now. Old flower shop location and the AC works!
I go eat lunch there about once a week.

It's not BR, but Day's in Watson is pretty good also.

He does make a top notch product. I love the smoked chicken salad they sell. Also his boudin balls are just too big. I don't like tennis ball sized product, gold balls is a better crust to boudin ratio imo.

If people have not tried this place it's worth what really is a fairly short drive.

Jerry Lees is way better than Ronnie's reg vs reg. Ronnie's smoked is good, but if you take Jerry Lees home and smoke it yourself, it's better than Ronnie's

hard to smoke a link when i am hurtling down g.s rd and ronnies is so good I can't imagine anything being so much better that it's worth the effort to smoke your own. Just the time involved. shite I want my boudin now.

JL need to take his damn cowboy hat off and start making some smoked product. He has had to have tried doing it before. Maybe he didn't care for it. I am going to have to go by there next week and ask them baws in the butcher area what's up with no smoked product.

It's just damn good. We have vendors bring boudin in to our offices all of the time from all over, and Ronnie's smoked is the hands down favorite. When homie shows up with those smoked links and a few backs of cracklins, it's always a damn good day.

The smoked is usually what people pimp when it comes to ronnies. Do you like the boudin from Chris's Speciality Meats?
