I usually just season mines with Tony's and some salt after the second frying. (Put baking soda in the oil for second frying to help seasoning stick to cracklins.)

I recently bought some at The Best Stop in Scott, La. theirs were heavily seasoned with a read spicy mix, and they were excellent.
Anyone have some good seasoning mixtures they use for home made cracklins?

Good stuff

Try the house seasoning from Early's in Scott. I forget what they call it, but it's good.

Just went on best stops website
You can buy a cannoster for like $4.00

But then they charge 11$ handling plus $11 shipping

frick that.
I'll wait until next time I'm in that area.

But I'll try that one also thanks.

There's a place in Lafayette on Johnston St, several miles south of the mall, call Southside Grocery, they use a seasoning that has some sugar in it, not much, but it gives a lil spin on normal cracklings, Very very good
