I would rather wait behind fewer people with more items than more people with fewer items. It's not the scanning of items that takes forever, it's the possibility that one person takes a lifetime to pay, forgets an item and has to go back, or requests customer service. One person can back a line up for 5-10 minutes. Especially when theres a long line of people at customer service with 3-4 items each. I want the least human risk.
