na, I won't throw you out. Thanks for your business. Greg here. I'm Lori's husband. She runs the restaurant. The smoked sausages, tasso's, beef jerky are my father-in-laws recipes, and all the BBQ stuff including the rubs and sauces are my two cents worth. I don't work there daily, but usually work on saturdays (except this saturday (we'll be at the Auburn game) Come by on a Saturday and i'll give you a tour of the smokers out back. Looking forward to meeting you

I don't mind, but my daughter has been known to shoot anyone she catches picking her pecans. So, if I were you, i'd pick them before she gets out of school!!!

Bread and Butter Pickles are my favorite.

If you get to Cuchon Butcher, try their B&B pickles. Bought a few jars over the weekend. They're crunchy and not overly sweet or overly dilled. They still have a bit of cucumber flavor. Very refreshing tasting. I liked them better than any other B&B pickles I've had.

I put up about 8 jars of bread and butter this year..
Love um..
But I really like the sweet/hot banana peppers I put up best..

Johnsons - Good Boudin and I had ya 4th out of 20 in the boudin cookoff last year..

And told everyone you can't go wrong with any of the top 4..Seemed to be a drop off after that.

Good luck this year.

Greg here

Greg, the boudin at your shop is outstanding. Ever thought of different flavors like crawfish?

Oh, and fried boudin balls. If you had those, I would go there everyday. They would have to be as good as Oteece Richards in Abbeville. Dats some stellar boudin balls right there!

Even if you don't eat at Butcher, stop in and take a look at the meats and the homemade jarred items. I love the sweet potato habanero sauce. Hot sauce is good, as well. I wish they'd sell the homemade worcestershire sauce. I wish anyone would. Haven't seen that anywhere.

Sounds like it's time you started a small business and produced Gris Gris Worcestershire to local establishments.

Perhaps, I should, BB. I would also sell gumbo, though, sans okra and tomatoes with a dark roux for all.

ETA: and no Savioe's for the roux, either.
