bourbon

The wife and I have been on a new diet, and cutting back on the bourbon has been the hardest thing. Not like I would have 3 every night, but I'm trying to limit it to weekend nights only, and keep it at a couple or less. Especially when it was in the 40s much of last week. Would have been great to fire up my patio heater, watch some football or world series, and pour a stiff one every night.

You cutting out the wrong thing baw.... bourbon has no carbs, is pretty low calorie and acts as a hunger suppressant. I've been dieting and it's my nightly dessert...I'm nearing on 30 lbs lost

Chili, and really most any warm, hearty soup.
Chicken and dumplings
Pot roast
Most Asian foods, but especially Vietnamese and Thai

Oh I'll be adding it back into a more regular rotation soon, but this is the latest kick that all the women around here are on now. Some company that is definitely a pyramid scheme, but the food is actually pretty good. They just say to not do any beer or wine, but an occasional liquor drink or seltzer is fine. The wife started it, and after a couple of weeks convinced me to try it as well. She's not selling it or anything, but I'm trying to do it for a month or so to lose weight, then I'll dial back on eating their food for every meal and start eating normal food again, just healthier. I'm only a couple weeks into it, and plan to go through Thanksgiving or so and see how much I can lose. Already down 10, and need another 15-20, which should be done by Turkey day.
