What’s the best oil to use for cleaning and caring of a wooden salad bowl?

Mrs. Allen
surprised me with a set of dansk wooden salad bowls. I’ve heard tung and walnut are good options. Any other recommendations?

Mineral oil. You can also dissolve some beeswax into warm mineral oil (about 3 parts mineral oil:1 part beeswax to form a soft paste) and apply that on occasion. I love what that does for my cutting board.

Definitely food grade mineral oil or butcher block oil with beeswax.
