I know someone who just got $99/night at the Monteleone the first week of August - that might be worth a shot.

Oh and if you are staying for a week the full kitchen and roof top pool would probably be beneficial. I normally charge hotel rates when someone stays for a full week too. Let me know if you want some more info.
Actually we're only going to bein the Quarter for one night. We're driving up to north Missisippi the enxt day for a wedding them to spend some time with my wife's family. We'll be spending our time (other than the first night) in either Columbus or Hattiesburg. We're flying into New Orleans just to visit the city and go out to dinner before the wedding.

Thanks for the offer, however.

They're offereing that in July also. Do you think that would be better than one of the smaller places like the Place d' Arms?

I will second the suggestion for le richelieu. It is in the lower end of the quarter and owners live nearby and take good care of the place.

Stayed this weekend at Chateau Bourbon, corner of iberville and decatur. i think 130 a weekend night. Deanie's seafood across the street. Annettes 1/2 block away for a country breakfast for $6.
