I was in the Hong Kong market on the Westbank in N.O. I did a lot of impulse buying. Weird smoked eel in a can and other stuff. Jars of sauces, oils and spices that looked great but I have no idea what they taste like. I'm optimistic, though.

I went every Saturday to two market in STL to shop. The first was the cornucopia of farmers markets to get a bit of everything. The second was an Asian market that was the seafood Mecca you would not believe. Live crustaceans from any where, fresh rainbows, fresh flounder and redfish, 2 LB Dungeness crabs live. I would spend 30 dollars and have food that were seriously bad assed for the next week.
