Yes, just like what´s called Spanish rice here, doesn´t exist in Spain, and most American Chinese food doesn´t exist in China.

I don't remember Ranch dressing as a kid outside of veggie trays. I never saw it used on a salad until I was older. I think Ranch was the demise of French dressing.

When French dressing was popular there weren't nearly as many options as we have now. The market is saturated with products. For example, my go to dressing at home is Spicy Ranch (it's got cayenne pepper in it). It didn't exist when I was young.

And let me tell ya something else. Back in the day we only had 10 or 12 kinds of breakfast cereal instead of 5,000.
And don't even get me started on how many types of tampons there are these days. When my wife finally 'went through the change' is saved me 20 minutes on my grocery shopping.
