We should have made him give us a way to find out if he's okay after the last incident!
I know. I suggested he get his wife to let us know if he was MIA.

Great news! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff when you're well enough.

I've checked the Meridian obits every so often for the last month. I don't think he's been listed.
From a post he made on January, 27, 2013, I believe his paternal grandmother's name was Cooksey...ain't no Cooksey's died around Meridian in a while.

Well, I'm darn happy he's not left this earth!

I may be mistaken about "Cooksey" being a paternal name...but I have not seen an obit with the deceased fitting his description either.

Keep up the investigative work. Now, if you can track him down and get some info from he or the MSWFLSHECOCOS for us, you'll really be on top of things. Get OG to help. He's quite the detective when it comes to TD.

A quote from the Jan. 27, 2013 post mentioned by Otis:
Sounds like it was the maternal line.
quote:
This is the old family recipe straight from the Great Depression by way of Granny Cooksey of Isola, Mississippi. It is what I have called Hard Times Cornbread.
It has no eggs and no sugar, since those pantry items were better used for other things during hard times.
This is all that has been made in my family for as long as my memories go back. It is all that my mother and her seven sisters made, and each of their children who can cook, and all that is made in my house too.
Sounds like it was the maternal line.

I just sent an email to a defunct blogging site asking if it's him.

I missed MD's post from a month ago. I hope you're doing well. MD, I can't wait to start seeing your picture intensive recipes again.
