Thank you all for the suggestions (I am the GF). I will be in Seattle for 5 days in the beginning of November, so I will save this thread for reference. Keep the ideas coming! TIA

Salty's has an amazing view. If she goes there tell her to go Husky Deli for great ice cream afterwards. Another place similair to Salty's is Palisade in Magnolia.
Depending on how picky/adventurous she is Ezelle's in the central district has great fried chicken and there are tons of great places for Dim Sum in the international district. If she goes to the ID Uwajimaya Grocery is an intersting place to walk around.
Dick's drive in is Seattle's answer to In-N-Out burger that has multiple locations. A more upscale burger place with local beers would be The Ram in University Village.

There was a place that Adam Richman went to that serves a whole bunch of seafood picnic style. I believe it comes out in huge metal bowls, and they dump it on the table for you.
Not sure of the name, and it might have been said before in here; but it looked awesome when I watched that episode.

My 2 favorites are:
Palisade - Micronesian with a Pacific Northwest twist. Really cool dining room too right on the Mangolia marina.
Poppy - Indian/fusion served as a tasting menu. Located in Capitol Hill.

quote:. That place is The Crab Pot it's on water near Pike Place Market and it was pretty good. I had the crab feast and liked it just wish it had some good Louisiana crab boil spice to it.

Jersey Tiger posted a long list of things to do and places to eat a couple years back for everyone going up for the UW game
I have it saved in my google documents. I just changed it to public so you can view it

A lot of good suggestions.
I went to a place called The Pink Door downtown while I was there. They had some really good cocktails. Looked like a decent food menu as well but I didn't order food because we had reservations at the Metropolitan Grille (really really good steaks)

Seafood....try some fried razor clams and dungeness crab. The crab pot on pier 57 is pretty good but don't expect it to be spicy like she'll be used too.
If she decides she wants some creole food at some point in time go to the New Orleans restaurant on 1st avenue.

Mcmenamins as well, which is where I would rather go for food. Both have good beers though.

Went to some weird restaurant once that had some strange games. Food was good, but the games were fun as hell. Stuff like going blindfolded with a helment cam on, and your partner outside the room guides you through certain tasks. Just east of Lake Union. Menthros or something like that.
