When we went to the beach for a week in Nov 2020 - our plan was to cook 2 or 3 nights

We didn’t - closest we got was sandwiches and leftovers

Sounds like us. We plan to cook 5 nights out of the week. We end up doing maybe one and going out. Best laid plans....

Back when we were doing big family trips to the beach for 15 of us(8 adults and 7 kids/grandkids)....it usually went like this.

My mom would premake usually a pan each of homemade white and red lasagna and then just need to bake it off, she also brought a big batch of chicken and sausage gumbo that she had previously frozen for another night, chuck roast in a crock pot for French Dip Sandwiches, one night would be burgers, hot dogs and smoked sausage links on the grill, then another night of steak and chicken on the grill and then 2-3 nights we would eat out. Worked well for us for years.

Our last trip was 2015 when the youngest kids graduated HS and the older ones were going in too many different directions after college and couldn't find dates that worked for everyone.
