the little restaurant down the street that has homecooking had chicken fried steak today. I took that as a sign that I should have it since it was my birthday. Had a slice of cherry pie too. Now I will be in a sugar coma for the rest of the day if anyone needs me.

Don't know if they'd have it at most grocery stores. Definitely at an oriental market though. I prefer the soba noodles

Gotcha, well Ill look for either and scoop some up. I imagine like a chicken and veggies stir fry over top with an oriental sauce?? Maybe some sirach?

I'd serve it in a soup personally...there are a lot of different udon soups.

Not really

I've tried some udon soups at a few different places but never tried to make any myself

Usually pretty good with a miso or chicken broth. The ones I've tried usually have a fair amount of veggies in it even if it's a chicken udon soup
