I don't know if it is strange, but we put in little smokies and we have done broccoli. Both are incredible.

Did a cabbage once on a whim, it was good, messy though, should have used a boiling sack.

Sweet potatoes are awesome in a boil. Last year I put brussel sprouts in with the corn, and they almost disintegrated. They were good, but very mushy. I's only let them go for 10-15 minutes next time around

Oh, if you are waning something different tasting, use jalapenos or even smoked jalapenos in the boil. It will give the crawfish a different taste. Add Serranos or even habaneros for more spice. It is not for everyone, and I only use it when I am getting bored of pro-boil tasting crawfish

I only like a couple things in the boils, I generally only add things when an extra guest or two show up, then it is usually sausage or smokies.

I like asparagus, as long as not too mushy. Other than that I limit it to corn potatoes, onions and mushrooms.

Every time i boil, i put potatoes, corn, mushrooms, eggs, sausage, onions, garlic, broccoli, can of green beans... However, most of that stuff is per request of the wife. I stick to the crawfish.

I cut them up in rough an inch circles and put them in at the beginning with the rest of potatoes.

A little thicker than this:

Doing cauliflower again this year. Last year I cooked it too long. Now, I'll just put it in during the soak phase.
