What are some good restaurants in Memphis?

Will be there for three nights in July. About to start doing research but wanted the board's opinion for anyone who has been recently.
Obviously BBQ for one meal is a must. Looking for Lunch/Dinner places. Will be staying at The Peabody.

Flight is good for a nice meal one night downtown, so is Felicia Suzanne's. I'll also give a plug for my friend's brother: go to any of the Ticer/Hudman spots, Catherine & Mary's downtown is more of a nice dinner spot and Gray Canary downtown is more of a cocktails and small plates place, Andrew Michael is their original place in East Memphis and is a nice Italian place and then Hog & Hominy has pizza and small plates. You can't go wrong at any of their places, and don't judge them based on their restaurant at the Ace in New Orleans, it doesn't compare to the ones in Memphis.
For barbecue, I'd probably send you to a different place depending on what you want. If you're downtown, it's hard to pass up the atmosphere of the Rendezvous. Central has a downtown location, and Cozy Corner is downtown (great smoked Cornish game hen). Don't go to Corky's. The BBQ Shop in Midtown is close to downtown and is really good

There is better bbq out there for sure, BUT, if you’ve NEVER done The Rendevous, you have to go once, especially since you’re staying at the Peabody. There is no cooler place to eat BBQ than there.

I could eat Gus's for every meal.... also Uncle Lou's 'sweet spicy love' dipped chicken is excellent
I personally found Memphis bbq to be overrated... BBQ Shop was the best (but still not all the great). Payne's is a little out of the way but has some good sandwiches

Start with a sausage and cheese platter for an app. Decide wet or dry, I’m a fan.
