Every two weeks or so we make a big beef stew with potatoes, carrots, and either two chuck roasts or a big sirloin roast if I can find it.

Browned the meat and put everything in my big BIP last night in the oven at 205.

We now have beef stew, and I'm just not feeling it.

Adding a quart of Bourqes dirty rice mix, and I'm gonna turn this bad boy into dirty rice...but cooking the rice like jambalaya.

Anyone ever done this before? And by this, I mean cooked dirty rice in the seasoning mix rather than adding almost cooked rice and rolling it.

Tl:dr

A wierd dirty rice jambalaya combo with large amounts of roast beef in it.

Sounds like it'll be fine but the potatoes/carrots will be mush.

Pull the potatoes and carrots, or they steam down to mush....

Actually came out awesome given that I had to guess the water ratio.

After eating this, I will never make dirty rice with ground beef again.

Slow cooked roast is the way to go for this.
