Weekend in Houston - Uchi, Pass & Provisions, and The Pit Room

Went to Houston over the weekend and enjoyed a few quality meals. We love Uchi in Austin so decided to give the Houston location a try. No pics of the food but we ordered 1 of everything on the sake social tasting menu and it was all incredible.
I regret not taking any pictures of the meal at Uchi. My favorite item was definitely the Machi Cure. Which was smoked yellowtail, yuca crisp, and marcona almond. Here's a picture I found online. So good.
For brunch on Saturday we tried Pass & Provisions.
Great meal started off with a bloody mary and beer back.
I went with the Smoked Short Rib Hash
Wife went with the smoked salmon salad
Split some ice cream for dessert. Poached peach soft serve with raspberry and mint.
Headed over to Little Woodrow's after brunch and watched the big LSU win and then straight from there to the St. Paul & The Broken Bones concert at House of Blues. Didn't really have time for dinner so we had a late night meal after the show. By suggestion of the people sitting next to us at the show we went to Katz's deli and it didn't disappoint. I was drunk so I forgot to take a picture but I went with the Reuben with Pastrami. I guess the Pastrami technically makes it not a Reuben but it was a fantastic sandwich.
Hit The Pit Room for lunch before leaving town on Sunday and it was awesome as always. I made a pig of myself because I couldn't decide to what to order. So I ordered a lot.
Brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, brisket taco, charro beans, and potato salad.

No but that dude cracked me up. He talked to us after the game and he looked he had been in a 10 round heavyweight boxing match.

How’s the crowd over there for the game? I may try to make it for one of the games.

Nice LSU crowd there. I live just 2 miles from that Shepherd Woodrows. Will have to catch a game over there. I was in NOLA this past weekend for the Saints game.
