This.

Founding Farmer's was real good. Also really enjoyed Minibar by Jose' Andres. Expensive but it is a culinary experience.

Mark's Duck House in Falls Church/Bailey's crossroads. A lot of the local celebrities, former/current presidents and foreign dignitaries go to the nearby Peking Gourmet Inn, but little hole in the wall Mark's is better, IMO, and the Peking Duck is the best in the city.

Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons in Georgetown.

Sea Catch in Georgetown.

Matchbox near Chinatown.

Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria. Take the metro. Good food and great beer.

Dim sum on steroids! China Garden on Wilson used to be my go to until I found out about this place.

What I wouldn't do for some Peking Duck right about now.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We are staying two blocks north of the White House. Definitely looking at trying founding farmers, ebbot's, tosca and maybe a brunch place. Someone I know recommended the capital grille for steaks. Anyone have any experience with there?
