Anyone know if something is going on with Waitr right now? Pulled up the app and everything I’m selecting I’m getting a ‘we have temporarily paused all orders for this restaurant’ message.

Since you asked, I decided to check my app which says that they are experiencing higher than normal volume, back shortly. I'm assuming it's due to the rain and flooding.

I’ll bet they just got more orders than they can handle because of the rain. I know when it rains, it plays hell with pizza delivery times.

I saw on Facebook the owner for CiCis in Lake Chuck going scorched earth on them on the SW restaurant page... apparently they were not picking up any orders and the owner had to deliver them himself... he was not pleased

Glad someone posted this topic. I ordered Waitr last night also, everything went through. 2 hours later I called the restaurant and they said my order has been sitting there, Waitr never sent a driver. So I went pick up the food myself. At 4am, the app still says my order is being prepared by the restaurant.

Shame on the restaurant for not alerting you about your order while it was just sitting there for over a half hour...hour...then two hours, which should have been a red flag to anyone with more than a few brain cells. Please do tell what this eatery was.

Yeah, stupid for them to go public. Especially since its not like they are the only people doing it, with Grub Hub and Doordash, plus Uber Eats.
