I plugged my food saver in and it started smoking. She gone. What should I replace it with?

Are you unhappy with that brand?

If you use it only casually then find one that fits your budget. If using heavily step up to a chamber sealer.

I’ve been using the same 2 Foodsavers for the last 5-8 years. When mine eventually break, I’ll replace them with another FS.

I’m in Lafayette and you’re more than welcome to borrow one if in a bind and need it ASAP.

Doug Care

I use this one. It uses the cheap non-textured bags normally used in chamber vacuum sealers.

I have the Weston Pro-2100. It’s a beast. I have sealed +-1200lbs of fish and +-1000 lbs of venison and pork with it over the past 5 years and it’s still going strong.

Vacmaster works great for me. But I put up a lot of stuff so it was worth the investment.

My old Food Saver broke as well after just 3 years of use so I replaced it with a generic $40 sealer I got off of Amazon. I've had it about 8 years now and it's been great. No problems.
